Concrete Industries’ state-of-the-art production facilities in Lincoln, Nebraska, produce a wide variety of high-quality precast and prestressed concrete products and building system components. GENERAL TESTING LABORATORY

NEBCO, Inc., Concrete Industries’ parent corporation, founded General Testing Laboratory in 1962 to provide quality control for the concrete products made and used by the company. Our lab personnel receive diverse inspection experience because of the wide variety of concrete products our sister companies supply. Our knowledge and understanding of concrete behavior helps us to avoid and fix problems efficiently.

Inspectors from General Testing Labs provide on-site inspection of all precast products produced. Every piece is checked for the dimensional accuracy of overall length and width, reinforcement, connection hardware, and block-outs. In addition, the inspectors perform concrete testing for each product that is cast.

At Concrete Industries we believe that quality is achieved by understanding and improving our processes. Our inspection team provides our companies with invaluable information that helps us with this never-ending quest.

PRECAST/PRESTRESSED CONCRETE INSTITUTE

The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) was created in 1954 to set standards that ensure the quality of precast and prestressed concrete nationwide. PCI provides certification that a company and its personnel are capable of producing the high-quality concrete customers expect.

Concrete Industries has been a member of PCI since 1956 and is PCI certified in several categories. Retaining this coveted certification is not easy. PCI conducts unannounced inspections of our manufacturing facility twice per year, checking an extensive list of quality control factors. While it is a rigorous process, it means verifiable quality for Concrete Industries’ customers.  www.pci.org
